4/24 Post

Welcome everyone to this week's blog post!

Although it was supposed to be done 5 days ago, I am writing it today!

Hope Miss. Yoon doesn't random check this one!

This time since I again didn't make any process on reading, I would like to write my thoughts on why reading is such an important factor of once life.

As a kid, I read a lot. And I mean a lot. I don't know how I started and how I did it, but I read almost all the time I was awake. According to the story that my mom told me, I spent lots of time in her car because we lived far away from where she worked. There was no iPhone or Ipad back then, so I spent most of the time in the car reading. But the problem was that I would always bring new books to read, but I wouldn't take them back, out of her car. She would put the books back sometimes but it wasn't enough. Because of this, the back sits of her car were always filled with kid's book. Every time she had to give a ride to someone, they would ask her "Do you have a second job? like... selling kid's book?"

Although the amount of reading reduced as I grew, I still feel the benefits that I got from reading. Let me label them down.

First, I still read a lot faster than non-readers. While understanding the book as much as slower readers do, I would read two or three times faster than them. I can't say that reading fast is a good habbit, but it surely is helpful sometimes.

Second, I sometimes find myself with knowledges that I didn't study but got from reading. I won't say that I am smarter than others, but I somtimes know something that people don't know. Even myself don't remember the exact source of how I know it, but at least I get to show off like I am smart by saying what I briefly know.

Third, I don't get 맞춤법 wrong very often. I don't know the exact name of the rule or why it  should be that way, but I know it is how it is supposed to be.

After writing these all, I feel like I showed off. However, I am really not. People who read a lot before and keep reading are so much better at these factors than me. What I am trying to say is, if you can't read for fun, try to read at least for these advantages you can get from it!
