4/12 blog post

Hello,

The week has gone so fast with so many things such as community day and Saturday detention.

There has been no reading this week too! To be honest, I don' think I will have some time to read until AP Tests. But this week, there is a specific topic I would like to talk about.

Poem! A poem is what I would like to talk about this week. Believe it or not, I write poems sometimes. I don't write too often, but I do when something comes up on my mind. By doing this for several years, I have about 50 or more poems that I wrote on my phone. I was reading poetry collection of one of my favorite poets, and suddenly I wanted to read my poems.

So I read all of them. Actually, I read all of them and not only reading, but I also fixed a few of them. As I was reading, I was really focused on it. The reason why I was so focused was that each poem that I read reminded of a memory. Usually, the times when I write a poem is when I am very emotional. Sometimes I write because I'm happy and excited, sometimes I write because I'm depressed and exhausted. Because of this, each poem that I write contains my feelings at that time. By reading them now, I can remember and feel what I felt so graphically. There are sad and hard ones sometimes, but now they are all just good memories.

By saying that I write a poem, I'm not saying that I am a great poet. I don't know how people exactly judge either the poem is good or not, but I am pretty sure if mine gets judged, C-. But I write not for others, but for me. Like I said before, a poem can remind you of so many things. It is just like a picture but with full of raw emotions.

I encourage you to try to write your own poem. It can be in anyway. It doesn't have to sound good to others, because you don't have to show them yours. Write it for yourself!

Fun Story: I lost one of my favorite poems while I was reading it this week. I accidently pressed delete button and I couldn't bring it back. I was really about to cry. Save a extra copy for the special ones!
