2/8 post

I have finally finished the book!

Unlike how I planned at the beginning, it took about three weeks for me to finish the book.

Let me give a brief review of this book (since this book is very well known, there are countless better reviews out there. Please read better ones!).

In this book, the Author displays the reasons why he believes that all human behaviors are to obtain benefits for the more significant object, human genes. Throughout this book, to reason his point, the author explains behaviors we can see from animals. While explaining behaviors, the author doesn't directly say that we can imply these phenomena to humans also, but he gives leeway to the readers to think about it on our own.

For example, the author gives away an example of one kind of bird. According to the author, one type of birds in the forest gives up its life when they meet the danger. When a predator comes, the first one who sees the predator immediately makes a loud noise and noticeable movements to attract the predator to himself and to notice others that the danger is coming. By doing so, the bird gets a higher chance of getting eaten but saves other birds in his family. What the author implies from this example is that humans tend to react similarly when they meet danger to obtain the same goal as the birds, a benefit for the gene, not for itself.

Enough about the book, I would like to review my performance on this project this week. Throughout this week,  I think I've done enough to say that I did well. Because there was 추석, I could read the book more when I want than other weeks. But the problem is that this kind of break doesn't come every week. Now I have finalized my mind that I need to work on fixing my goal of this project a little bit.

I also came up with another idea this week. These days most of the 11 graders including me are very busy. With all the class works that we have to do, we also have to prepare for SAT and AP tests that are coming. A way to read book and study at the same time was desperately needed for me. So I decided to read a history book this week!. Since I take two AP history classes and have to get ready for the AP tests coming, history books can help me in many ways.  I will go pick the book from the bookstore by this week!

Thank you for reading
